November 2nd is National Stress Awareness Day. Every day, we experience stress as students. Life is difficult in general, and school is one of its many stressors. It's a daily process, but what we need to do is learn how to deal with it. How can we manage stress? Here are some helpful tips:

  • Aim to maintain organization; create a daily calendar of the items you want to accomplish. Structure may be really helpful when things seem disorganized. Start utilizing a planner; it will help you keep everything organized.

  • Allocate time for personal care. Relax, indulge in some comfort food or a TV show, take a walk, or watch a movie. Take care of yourself whenever you have the chance.

  • Socialize. You can avoid thinking about what's troubling you by being with other people. Spend time with friends and family, it’s good for you!

  • Exercise. It increases endorphin production. The creation of endorphins, which are feel-good neurotransmitters that lower stress, may be increased by physical activity.

  • Eat well and get plenty of sleep. When caring for your well-being, these actions are crucial to take. They have significant impacts on your daily functioning.

Again, life is frequently stressful, so it's important to find ways to destress that work best for you.
